As planned I left my hometown Pontian to Mersing for the fishing trip, the schedule was delayed as I spent a total of two days at my parent's home doing some chores, on top of that I spent some times to do some shopping.

The day was 6th June 2015 Saturday and at 2:50pm I left Pontian. The rain had just stopped and the sky gradually clears up. Before I set off to Mersing I did some studies based on the Google Map to help me figured out the shortest route. It showed that the Simpang Renggam - Ayer Hitam way is the best and I followed although I was a bit reluctant to. This is due to that route has to pass by Kluang and the journey from Ayer Hitam to Mersing via Jalan Mersing is a killer! The narrow and winding two way lane claimed many lives as I heard. As the matter of fact I did this once in 2008, back then I was still an inexperience driver on Malaysia road. I remembered that it was a raining day and my car's tires was 40% worn. Throughout the whole journey I could feel the moist on both of my hands and feet. I was quite confused as well and I lost my way a couple of times.

After stopping by at a Fishing Tackle Shop cum Pet Shop cum Aquarium Shop to get some worms, I began the journey northward. The starting point was en-routing Jalan Pontian towards Batu Pahat direction and halfway through I needed to cut through this small town called Ayer Baloi. From here I continued for some distance on the Jalan Parit Raja and then I got into Jalan Parit Makorsa which at the cross junction I continued onto Jalan Parit Ismail. At the end of that road I drove onto Jalan Besar which leading towards Simpang Rengam.

From the beginning of the journey on a few occasion I nearly made the wrong turn, fortunately the mistakes were amended earlier and I was able to arrive at Simpang Renggam without burning off extra gasoline. The rain resumed somewhere on the journey here, one glance at the sky it didn't seems like it was going to stop anytime soon.

Simpang Renggam is formed by four town of Renggam, Machap, Layang-Layang and Simpang Renggam itself, the major trade here is plantation and Pineapple is the main product produced. Among the four town, Renggam was made famous when the British Queen Elizabeth II visited the place in the 1950s.

From here I was supposed to make a turn onto Jalan Batu Pahat and proceeded towards Kluang. Somehow or rather I made a wrong turn and I ended up at this small little old town named Renggam. At that time i wasn't aware about the history of this place but I was attracted by the peaceful and quiet environment.

I decided to make a stop here and explored the town on foot. Everything looks old including the buses, I found a Train Station and took some photos. This old town preserved most of the original look from the past, it made me felt like I was walking into the 1970's.

Next in part 4 I returned onto the right track and came upon a new highway which offers stunning scenery, stay tuned!

Before I left for Mersing for the fishing trip I had to help my parent to do some chores. So on the second day I arrived at my hometown Pontian, I went out to pay some bills in the afternoon and after the mission accomplished I went on to search for my lunch.

The place I went for my lunch is the new town central, it is created from a plot of reclaimed land and after many years of development, it is now replaced the old town central, the Jalan Taib. Many shops set up at this new town central here and some newer projects are on going when I was there.

Pontian Kechil which is the town where I was born is located at 1°29'05.2"N 103°23'23.7"E. A small town whereby the livelihood of the residents here are very much depend on the fishing at the Straits of Malacca. The Kukup which's a small fishing village produce some of the best seafood that attracted many seafood lovers to visit the town, mainly from Singapore due to the geographical location which's only 62km from Johor Bahru. Travelers who wish to visit Kukup will have to pass by Pontian Kechil and most of them would stop by and pay a visit to Pontian Kechil and this made my hometown bloomed.

I stop by at the seaside as I searching for my lunch and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Pontian Kechil. I recalled those days when I was a carefree little boy who roaming around with my bicycle with my gangs, I remembered once I walked almost one kilometer out towards the sea on the mud, I remembered the old fashioned playground which was built using concrete, I went back to the Chicken Rice Restaurant that I had the chicken rice since I was seven years old, I passed by my primary school... Those were the days.

After my lunch I went to check out a fishing tackle shop here, I was looking for some big pyramid shape sinkers for my Bait Launcher. I intended to stick to the formula that has proven to be workable, the frozen bait bullet. The shopkeepers here gave me some stone cold faces and their mono tone voice turned me off, initially I though of recording some video here but.... Anyway, I got what I wanted from that shop. Although it is not the pyramid shape that I was looking for. I went on to search for the Spark Plug for the Hangkai 3.5hp Outboard Motor, I was told by many shops that this Spark Plug is quite unique and it is hard to find here. Devastated but I didn't give up, more shops were visited and this included Hardware Stores, Machinery Stores and so on. Finally I barged into this half closed Motorcycle Workshop, it was around 7pm and I found the identical Spark Plug for the Hangkai.

I decided to stay at my hometown for another night and the next day after some more rigging at my parent's home I set off to Mersing. At Pontian Besar I dropped by a Aquarium cum Pet Shop cum Fishing Tackle Shop to get some worms as bait, I bought some Umpun aka Pun-Pun or Sarong and some Wawat.

I traveled via the route that cut through the center part of Johor state and I came across a few beautiful places which will be featured in the next video. I had use this route in the year of 2006 and after almost 10 years I did it twice in a month!

Stay tuned for the part 3 which I traveled from Pontian to Mersing via the Ayer Baloi - Simpan Rengam - Rengam - Kluang - Kahang - Mersing route which cut through the center of Johor state.

Always Tight Line, Hardcore is the Spirit!

Wednesday, June 5, 1996

Back in 1995 after I picked up the fishing rod again it is an one way ticket for the journey, I fished in most of the freshwater reservoirs here and caught my biggest Snakehead which was 6kg (read the story here)and I went to most of the beaches and jetties for the saltwater assaults, My catches were mostly small fishes and the species were boring. I always dreamed of going abroad to hunt for the monster fish, during that time my dream location is Australia. (Influenced by the fishing magazine)

I bought my first car in 1996 and it was a humble Daihatsu Charade 1.0L Turbocharged Engine, this tiny little machine gave me a lot of joys and sorrows. I got this car through Ken and again he made a killing on my purchased which I ended up paying 20% more and he never stopped doing so, although I didn't manage to prove that if I had paid more by repairing my car at the workshop he recommended.

Few months after I got the car Ken asked if I was interested to explore beaches in Malaysia, he read on a magazine about this place called Penyabong which is located at the states of Johor. I was a bit reluctant to do so as I wasn't sure if my car could handle the distance of the journey, it is around 160km from Johor Bahru. Ken managed to convince me with the promise of splitting the cost of repair if it was needed, so off we went with my Daihatsu Charade on our rest day to the Penyabong.

After some 5 hours of driving with many wrong turns we arrived at the place, the Pantai Penyabong (Penyabong Beach). It was around 3pm and the weather was perfect, I drove my car on to this stoned porch which I guessed it was a makeshift car park, back then there was only a Malay food eating house and three wooden houses right beside it, a few children were staring at us from their door step wondering what on earth were we doing here. Straight after I got off my car a gust of warm tropical wind blew towards me, the salty scent of the sea coupled with the rotten stench of some sea creature carcasses on the beach instantly reminded me of my home town, Pontian which is also a fishing village at the west coast of West Malaysia.

The Pulau Penanduk
This place was quite deserted and it was so peaceful, we walked straight on to the warm beach which the soft and fine sea sand would bury your feet immediately, the gentle wave rhythmically splashed on to the beach and it was getting louder as we approaching the clear greenish-blue sea, you could see your feet clearly when you step into it, the cool and clean South China Sea makes me felt like jumping into it. Just a stone throw away there is a small island named Pulau Pelandok (Pelandok Island), it is covered with lot's of greenery plants making it looks like a broccoli flower on the sea, sitting there alone for god know how many millenniums already it give the place a very unique and relaxing view.

There were two units of four wheel drive jeep parked on the beach, according to the villagers they were foreigners who worked in the city and they always came here with their diving gears, there are some ship wrecks around this area and as the place was unpolluted yet corals and beautiful tropical fishes lured the divers back weeks after weeks.

When we left Singapore to here we brought our fishing rods as well, after some break at the Malay food stall we went on to have some surf casting there. We had some frozen prawns with us to use as bait and Kent had brought some lures to try here. We stopped the fishing at around 6pm without catching any fish, it took us another 4 hours to return home. Although no monster fish was caught I wasn't disappointed as this beautiful and peaceful Pantai Penyabong has worth every efforts we spent to get here.

A Jetty was built and it destroyed the view
Human being are great destroyers of nature and it proved again when I returned to Pantai Penyabong after almost 12 years in 2008, it was given a complete make-over to the worst. The once clear sea is so milky now that I will never consider dipping my feet into it and the soft and fine sea sand was no where to be found, probably buried deep underneath the rough sand that was brought in from elsewhere, reclamation works were done here as I could see major landscape changed. I really don't understand why the reclamation is needed in Malaysia, it is a big country with vast land to spare, besides wasting the money it destroyed the natural habitation in the area. A long and huge fishing boat jetty extending towards the Pulau Pelandok was built and it spoiled the unique view of the lone island sitting in front of the beach, engine oil from boats floating on the sea surface and smell of gasoline is so strong that the natural scene of the tropical beach had vanished. Cars and motorcycles almost filled up the whole car park (It's now a tared surface car park) I lost the luxury of parking my car freely as I did in 1996. Countless of houses were inserted here and jammed the whole area, the population of the once tiny deserted fishing village grew so much and I regretted I took so long to revisit the place as I will never get the chance to see the paradise again.

P.S. I didn't take any photos in 1996 and it was another set back, photos show here were taken in 2008

Always Tight Line, Hardcore is the Spirit!

Monday, January 15, 1996

After almost 20 years this Loomis & Franklin Ten footer surf casting rod still keeping me company whenever I go fishing, it help me caught numerous of fishes and the picture showed was the trip I made in 2012 at Air Papan beach, Mersing, Johor, West Malaysia. During that trip I managed to pull back the Spanish Mackerel (check out the story here) which's weight around 600 gram and it was a great fun with my longest fishing buddy and old pal, the Loomis & Franklin of cause.

Back in 1996 when I was still a young punk and a new comer in this exciting activity, I wasn't really had much affection with saltwater fishing as my fishing buddies back then were all into freshwater fishing. (find out my freshwater fishing here) It was until I met Lawrence and Ann then I was introduced back to saltwater fishing and during our fishing trip to the famous Pasir Ris Fishing Pond (full story here) I was amazed by the distance that Lawrence could achieve using the Shimano 13 footer surf casting fishing rod and after some thoughts I decided to get one for myself. Hence the Loomis & Franklin was bought (details of me buying thye rod here) and I went down to the Pasir Ris Fishing Pond few days later eager to find out how good the rod is.

I reached the place at around 6:30pm and the rest of the gang were not there yet, I went up to our usual spot and started setting up the brand new Loomis & Franklin fishing rod. I was taught to cast with Side Swing Casting when I started in freshwater fishing, Lawrence show me how to do the Overhead Casting and I was convinced that the Overhead Casting was a better way after seeing the distance he achieved. I walked up to the edge of the pond with the new fishing rod and took a deep breath, lifting the rod butt high on my head while the rod tip was dipping down to the ground, at the end of the fishing lines a float was attached to it, when I was ready I pulled the rod butt as hard as I could and whipping the rod tip towards the sky....

     "Splash!"

I felt some water splashed on to my face and I could taste the saltiness of the sea water as it dripped pass my lips. It was a bad and failed cast as the float landed just five meter in front of me, it could be I was not used to the extra length of the new fishing rod and I misjudge the timing on releasing the line, I figured that I should patiently waited for the rest and their guidance.

It was around 8pm and Lawrence finally came and he was alone, his wife Ann was unwell.

"Wah! New fishing rod ah?" Lawrence was attracted by the shining new lacquer on the Loomis & Franklin.

"Haha! Ya, just bought it few days ago." I told him.

"Don't want to test out the rod?" he asked while preparing him fishing rod.

"Almost done, I wait for you lor, Let's cast together." I pretended.

"Wanna compete with me is it? On lah, wait let my Shimano kill your... What's the brand?" Lawrence was very confident with his fishing rod

"It's a Loomis & Franklin 10 footer, no lah, how to compete with you? I am still learning from you." I can't even cast more than 10 meter just now, how to compete?

Lawrence hooked a live prawn on to the hook after the set up of his Shimano fishing rod was done, he walked towards the edge of the pond and with a smooth motion the float which had a light stick attached on it, flew towards the sky and you could see the light stick painted a green light arc in the dark and dropped into the far corner of the pond. Wow! that's was more than 100 meter!

I monitored his motion and practiced it a few times in my mind and then it's my turn to walked up to the edge, I took a deep breath again and "Bang" I cast the float out. I didn't really looked at where it had landed and I was expecting more saltwater to splash on to my face.

"Good cast!" I heard Lawrence's voice from behind, I looked up to the pond and found out that my float was landed near to his float. My gosh! I was so excited and my hands were trembling as I couldn't imagine that I would be so close to the 100 meter mark!

For the whole night I couldn't sit still and was checking on the bait every ten minutes, reason behind was I felt like casting again and again and that morning I went home without hooking up any fish. In the afternoon when I was holding my cup of coffee at the office I could feel my hands were still trembling and my arms and back muscle were crying in pain.

And that's how and when I started to fall in love with Surf Casting and I just couldn't resist the thrill of it, every time when I tossed my float or weight towards the sea, the adrenaline rush that was created from the cast sucked me deeper and deeper into this activity. I began to study on various casting techniques such as Ground Cast, Full Side Swing Cast, Overhead Side Swing cast and finally I was hooked to the ultimate Pendulum Cast. I upgraded from the Spinning reel to the Multiplier reel and it was the Abu Garcia 6600 C4 that was bought, the Abu Garcia was upgraded into Open Cage and Mono Mag, Rocket bearings had replaced the stock bearing and the Rocket Bearing Lubricant was bought specially for the bearing, eventually a Brass Sport Shim had replaced the bearing for maximum performance and I was achieving 160 meter at my peak!

I had a 13 footer Surf Casting fishing rod added to my arsenal, it was not a Shimano though. It was given a full makeover with more guides were putted on,(realized that it was a mistake in later part) enhanced rod body and it was converted from a Spinning reel rod, it was built without any reel seat and I bought two reel coaster to secure the Abu Garcia at the Low Rider position. The pair landed my first ever Stingray weight around 12kg while I surf casting at Batu Layar beach. (click here for the story)

My fishing journey continued in between freshwater and saltwater and almost all were in Singapore, it was until 2006 when I encounter this place... Next post will jump ahead a few years which I will introduce the Air Papan beach in Malaysia, stay tuned.

Always Tight Line, Hardcore is the Spirit!

Sunday, July 1, 1990

In 1990 when I was nineteen years old, I  was given a chance of how it felt like when you hooked up a fish, compared to many anglers out there I was pretty late into the game. In fact I dislike the sport back then, I always had the concept of this is a time wasting and boring activity .

One fine night, my friends asked me out for a tea at our usual hangout spot, when the car stopped at the front gate of my house, I felt that something was not right, the three amigos in the car looked creepy, the evil cunning smile on the face made me hesitated for a while, I got into the car eventually...

The car did not stop at our La Teh spot (La Teh = local term of having tea) it sped off straight to Kukup, a fishing village which used to offer good and cheap seafood. When the car stopped, my heart sank and I realized that I was getting on to the wrong boat.

My friend took out a set of fishing tackle from his car trunk and handed it over to me,

"After tonight, you will be begging me to bring you out for fishing." he said.

Well, as there was no other option for me, I reluctantly took over the tackle from his hand and after the bait was being putted on, I cast it awkwardly into the sea.

.... after some long 15 minutes later, with my non-stop grumbling to his ears, my friend hooked up a 500 gram catfish. During the fight I noticed a reddish face expressing extreme excitement, Is it really that fun? I asked myself ...

.... an hour later, I began to pay more attention on my rod tip than grumbling non-stop, I began thinking that over at the other end of the fishing line, the live prawn that my friends caught using scoop net at the 'Goh Ah Heng' jetty, was it being preyed on by some hungry unknown creatures now? did the prawn sensed any danger? The six foot fishing rod seems to be giving slight vibration, was it my illusion?

I turned to my friend who was beside me, thought of asking him how it felt like when the fish was taking the bait. Suddenly, a strong jerk from my fishing line caught me by surprise... Wow! it felt like I was electrocuted, the shock sent from the 10 lbs fishing line passed on to the tip of the rod, went through the fishing line guides and passed to the spinning reel that was secured on the rod, it then transferred back on to my hands that was gripping the rod. The nerves in my arms received the signal and flashed back to my brain, immediately the brain stimulated and triggered the excitement. I froze as I felt the blood flow in my body suddenly came to a halt, in micro-second the blood started to flow again, body temperature raised and the high temperature blood shot back into the brain. Under the pressure from the billions of cells, my brain responded and sent instructions to my body, my traps and neck muscles were the first to react, turning my head straight back my eyeballs rolled around scanning on the surface of the sea. My lungs were instructed to expand so to inhale more cold air, the cold air was sucked in through the nostrils and went through the airway, it was then distributed into many other smaller airways in the lungs, trapping the heat and it returned via the same way, as the air exhaled out with high velocity, it triggered the vocal cord causing it to vibrate, "Ah!" came out uncontrolled from my mouth.

The "Ah" alerted my friends, the friend who was just beside me responded immediately and shouted, "Quick! Pull!" In the event of panicking, the acidic fluid in the body will increase and somehow it numbed my body system, I didn't react as I heard only humming sound in my ears.

"Hey!" my friend yelled again and shoved me,

"Quick! pull up the rod! strike the fish!"

My reaction was instantaneous and the fishing rod was pulled high up in the air, the loose and curvy 10 lbs line was straighten immediately and it splashed up some sea water as it cutting through, with the help of the moonlight, it looked pretty spectacular.

On the other hand, this unknown creature that was hiding in the dark corner earlier scanned the surrounding with it's big round eyes, when it spotted the prawn it swam around this still very alive prawn that was hooked on the last section of it's tail, making sure that it's safe and then it expanded it's gills fully, with a large amount of sea water swallowed in it absorbed all the oxygen in it and converted it into energy, it then paddled it's strong fins and whipping it's strong tail and dashed towards the yummy prawn with it's fully opened jaw...

    "Shit!"

Although the hook didn't went through the nerves it was still quite uncomfortable for the prawn. Here it was tossed into the middle of the sea, no thanks to the bright moonlight it was nakedly exposed, alone and surrounded by danger. Remembered a few hours ago, it was happily feeding itself together with the families at the bottom side of a fishing boat which docked at the 'Goh Ah Heng' jetty, the huge fishing boat sheltered them from the lights and the darkness gave them a safe feeding ground. The prawn and it's families were hurrying themselves to make sure the belly was filled with foods before high tide, as the hungry predators would come along with it, Deep in the the seabed a stretch of reef provided a safe haven for them to call home, in there they would hide deep into the cave and slowly digesting the foods.

Maybe the foods today was too delicious or everybody were too hungry, when they saw it coming all exits had already been blocked by the scoop net, they tried frantically bashing on the 3 mm holes hoping to break free from the net. The next moment they were inside that red pail, some were still waiting for their fate and some had returned to the sea with a hook on their tail. Right now the prawn sensed a strong fishy stench and the current around it seems to flow rapidly, it panicked, it's tiny eyeballs rolled from side to side, it could feel the shadow of death was upon it. And then the prawn saw it! a vicious hungry face, wide opened mouth, it's gill expanded fully and the muscular fins powering it swiftly towards the prawn. The prawn wasn't about to surrender to it's fate, it curved it's tiny body to an angle it normally couldn't, springing itself with full force and paddled ferociously those tiny legs at the belly, this was it's last chance. ...and then the darkness came.

"Great taste! This bugger is not from local, Top graded!"

After gobbling up the prawn the starving fish felt blessed, this juicy and sweet taste without the smell of the engine oil was rare nowadays. As the fish was feeling fortunate a great pain was felt on it's jaw, it seems like some sharp object had pierced through it's jaw.

"The shell is harder? It got sharp spikes?" It was too delicious for the fish to spit out although it's hurting it, the starving fish told itself that great stuff was like that, it figured that it needed to return to it's hideout and took sometime to slowly chewed it. As it turned and wanting to return to it's dark corner, some greater pain attacked it and this time it's clear that this was more than just hard shell that's causing the pain.

"Oh Gosh! Is it the hook that Uncle Tom is talking about that day?"

The fish regretted and blamed itself for being too hungry and greedy, it should inspect more carefully especially at the tail, Uncle Tom did mention it. For now the hook must be spat out and it remembered the trick Uncle Tom taught, wide opened mouth, inhaled and exhaled then pushed out the hook with the near dying prawn on it, as the fish was about to...

The fishing line became tighter and I felt more resistance, the jerking and pulling from the fish was getting stronger too, it must be panicking now and making some desperate struggling, the fish was trying to pull the fishing line towards the seabed, hoping that some reefs with sharp edges would cut it loose. I held the rod high up and glanced to my friend for the next move.

"Strike the fish one more time, just to make sure that the hook is properly set." my friend said,

"If you feel the fish is running towards opposite direction, lower the rod slightly and hold on to it, let it run and don't forget to loosen the drag on the fishing reel."

My hands were trembling, palms were sweating. Awwoo...this was too excited! I couldn't held but howling like a wild wolf. My friend stayed beside me and gave me guidance all the time and he was right, the fish dived deep towards the far right corner. According to my friend, there are many reefs with sharp edges at the bottom of that far right corner, never allowed the fish to get near there. By now, we roughly knew that this was a fish weight less than one kg, with his vast fishing experience (two years only) my friend was quite sure that it was a Spotted Red Snapper, which he caught a few here in the past.

The struggling fish in the sea slowly got used to the pain, the subconscious told it that it must endure it and stay calm. The fish remembered that once it passed by a reef with sharp edges, if it could drag the line over there, with the help of that reef and some quick dive, it was quite sure the fishing line would be cut. With that thought in mind, the fish started to paddle hard and it could feel the fishing line slightly slacking. The will to survive made it stronger, it swam as fast as it could and the sight of the reef seems closer. During the struggling, the prawn that was inside the fish's mouth started to break apart, some tiny pieces flown into the fish's stomach. "Gosh! This is really heavenly! Once the line is broken, I will find a quiet corner to enjoy this." the fish thought.

I felt the line was slacking and I quickly reeled back the line to recover some ground, the respond was so aggressive from the other end and the line was stretched to it's maximum.

"Lower the rod, too much tension." My friend noticed, "Look!  it begin to surge rightward, you need to pull slightly to the opposite direction, when the fish feels the pain it will turn back. " I slid my rod leftward and slowly guided the fish back. My friend told me, "The tactic is to wear off the fish, when the fish started to dash, we hold on, let it run. When it stop we need to reel in as fast as we can, pull the rod backward to pump the fish up, point the rod back towards the fish as you reel in the line, eventually the fish will be exhausted and give up, that's when we bring it up."

Back in the sea, the fish felt an unbearable pain stroking it's upper jaw, forcing it to abandon it's plan to surge rightward and as it's mouth was widely opened, the shattered prawn dropped off from the hook and came out from it's mouth, the hook still remained though. The fish watched the shattered pieces of the prawn sank towards the seabed and before it reached to the bottom, a group of hungry small fishes stormed out from nowhere surrounded the shattered prawn, within second they dispersed and the shattered prawn disappeared. "AH! My prawn!" The fish couldn't care much, it was in greater trouble now, the more it tried to swim towards right, the more pain it would receive on it's jaw. The fish had no choice but to swim towards the left side and hoping that the unfamiliar area there would have something similar for it to break the fishing line.

I told my friend it seems like the fish was giving up struggling and it was swimming towards me as I reeled in the line.

"The fish must be tired now, keep reeling in." he said

"Beware of the last minute dashed, the fish may give it's last shot when it surfaced, pay more attention as a lot of fishes was loss at that moment." he added

And it did! The fish made a sudden dashed when it was about 10 feet away, thanks to my friend's earlier warning I was well prepared for it. I quickly lower down my rod and let it ran and the fish slowed down as it felt the tension was off. I caught it by surprise with a hard swing to the left and pumped the fish up, I did it like a pro-fisherman (I think) and after another round of pumping and pulling the fish surfaced. Yes! my friend was right, It's a Spotted Red Snapper. My friend walked towards the shore and pulled the leader line to lift the fish out from the sea, it's around 800 gram.

If you are still reading this you probably figured out the ending as it's quite obvious, right? No! you are wrong if you think that I was addicted to fishing ever since. Few days later I received a letter from the Tunku Abdul Rahman College in Kuala Lumpur, I was accepted there for the diploma course in Electronic Engineering. The next week I was at the big metropolis and was so fascinated by the modern city, (I was from a small fishing village) and never thought of fishing again. Oh, by the way for those who studied there please don't go and searching for my picture in the year book, I was not a alumni there. After I settled down at Kuala Lumpur and had dated out a female student that I met in the Orientation Night Party, 3 weeks later my mum called me from home telling me that another school in Singapore had accepted my application as well, she wanted me to quit here and proceeded to Singapore as it's nearer to my home town. So there you go, I am here now at Singapore after 25 years, as for how and when I restarted the fishing... Stay tuned! it'll be in my next blog.
